Between 19 and 22 October Krakow hosted 17 restauranteurs from Nuremberg, its partner town, who delved into the secrets of Krakow’s cuisine – the 2019 European Capital of Gastronomic Culture.

European Academy of Gastronomy
The title of the European Capital of Gastronomic Culture was granted to the city of Kraków by the European Academy of Gastronomy (AEG). Its Polish branch was founded in 2006.

Krakow was chosen as the European Capital of Gastronomic Culture 2019. The title was awarded for the first time by the European Gastronomic Academy.
Slow Food Central Europe – promoting gastronomic heritage
Cheese 2017 in Bra, Italy, was the location for a meeting between partners from five European Union member states (Italy, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland) to officially launch Slow Food Central Europe.
